Emergence: Art and the Incarnation of Space opens Tuesday, Sept 10, 2019 at the Martin Museum of Art at Baylor University. I’m thrilled to have two large sculptures and 25 small sculptures included in this show that also features Benny Fountain, Jane Harris, Edith Baumann, Shingo Francis, and Richard Kenton Webb, along with prints by Josef Albers, curated by Richard Davey.

Poet Fiona Sze-Lorrain and I are opening a project at New Haven’s Institute Library Gallery on June 1. Her poems, paired with my drawings, explore the darkness and luminosity of materiality. The opening runs from 3-6pm. Fiona will give a reading at 5pm. A limited-edition catalogue of the collaboration has been published and will be available for purchase at the gallery.
The Institute Library Gallery is at 847 Chapel Street in New Haven. The exhibition runs from June 1 through September 7.

The Berlin gallery dr. julius has organized an exhibition of 100 artists to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus. I'm honored to be among them. Each artist produced a work on A4 paper. My contribution comes from a series called Folded Cyanotypes. In this case the folding pattern is one that was used in the Bauhaus Preliminary Course. The show opens April 28 from 11 - 6, and runs until June 23.
Of the 100 artists included, 14 were selected to have their work reproduced in a limited run portfolio. I am thrilled that my work will be included in the portfolio.
I’m giving two presentations at conferences this month.
I’ll be in Cork, Ireland on March 9 to talk about multi-sensory textures at the Making and Materiality Symposium.
On March 17 I’ll be in Minneapolis, MN at the joint conference of the the Inter-Society Color Council and the Technical Association of Graphic Artists (ISCC and TAGA) talking about the legacy of the Bauhaus.
