Folded Cyanotypes are created by first folding paper into an intricate pattern. After unfolding it, cyanotype fluid is applied. Working in the dark to protect the light-sensitive material, the paper is refolded, then placed in natural light, and manipulated using mirrors and lenses. After developing the exposed paper, it is flattened, creating an object, which carries the memory of light and three-dimensional space, but has slipped back into flatness.
